Start with a product you know, or get help narrowing down the options. Both routes lead to the same exact-product confirmation.
1. Choose how to start
Know what you want? Search by name or model, or choose from the catalogue. If you need help, the buying assistant offers an ideas route and a model-selection route. Tell it what the item needs to do and your budget. Catalogue coverage and guided recommendations are still developing.
2. Confirm the details
Check the model, generation, screen size, storage, connectivity and condition where relevant. A catalogue model can go straight to its configuration choices. An unfamiliar description may need clarification. Confirmation helps keep the comparison consistent; it does not verify a retailer’s stock.
3. Compare the offers found
Reported online offers appear as they are checked. Filter by retailer or price, and compare delivery where it is supplied. The results are labelled as a partial comparison: other retailers may sell the item. Some links are eligible affiliate links; others are ordinary retailer or comparison links. Always confirm the final checkout total.
4. Ask for a different deal
Choose “I want a local retailer” or “The price isn’t good enough”. Your buying buddy helps prepare a brief with the exact item, your target price, location and buying preferences. Follow the account and email-confirmation steps shown before an enquiry can proceed.
Local retailer enquiries are a pilot. Contact depends on the request, retailer participation and the controls in the service. A reply, negotiation or discount is not guaranteed. Retailers may make a different offer, ask a question or decline.
5. Decide before buying
Read an offer’s specification, condition, warranty and fulfilment terms. An enquiry or quote is not a purchase or reservation. PriceHaggle AI does not buy automatically on your behalf. Complete any purchase through the retailer’s stated process.
A few common questions
Do I need an account just to browse?
You can read buying guides and browse the public catalogue without signing in. The local enquiry journey has account and email-confirmation steps so requests can be managed privately.
Does every link earn PriceHaggle AI commission?
No. Only eligible links through an approved affiliate relationship can earn commission on qualifying purchases. Ordinary Google Shopping and retailer links do not automatically do so.
Can I set any target price?
You can state what you hope to pay, but a realistic, like-for-like target gives a retailer something useful to consider. Read our guide to preparing a local offer.
